A great fun day at the Surrey Archery Field Champs A great fun day at the Surrey Archery Field Champs, everyone who shoot enjoyed the day as always. Congratulations to everyone who took part and great results. Recurve Barebow - Ladies winner Pam Johnson, Recurve Barebow - U15 winner Haydn Lloyd, Compound Unlimited - Gent Surrey 2nd place Ryan Hanly, Longbow - Gent Alan winner Ruffle, Longbow - U18 winner Rhys Lloyd, Recurve Traditional - Gent Surrey winner Roy Watts. Thanks to the Judges and all the volunteers for running an great shoot.

🎯 Sunday Wand Shoot 🎯 We've enjoyed the blu 🎯 Sunday Wand Shoot 🎯 We've enjoyed the blue sky this morning for our wand shoot. Legend has it that the 4” wide, 6ft tall wand is a representation of the arrow slits that archers shot into whilst attacking castles! We shot a 3 dozen round with wands set at 3 separate distances – you choose the distance you want to shoot at. The choice is 60yds, 40yds and 30yds. Thanks to everyone who took part, we hope you enjoyed yourself! 🏹
🎯 Sunday Club Shoot 🎯 We've enjoyed a sunny 🎯 Sunday Club Shoot 🎯 We've enjoyed a sunny but chilly Sunday morning shoot today. Our archers completed a Frostbite Round and were more than happy to receive a cup of hot soup upon finishing. It was also lovely to award a handful of our members their varying classification badges! Well done all! Hopefully, see you all next week for the Portsmouth round 🏹

🏹 Surrey Field Shoot - Sunday 5th November 🏹 🏹 Surrey Field Shoot - Sunday 5th November 🏹 We would like to remind our members that the Surrey Field shoot is in just under two weeks today on Sunday 5th November on Box Hill near Dorking. It is a relaxed fun shoot in the woods, there are 16 targets shot twice once in the morning and once after lunch. There are various distances from 5m to a max of 55m. 🏹 ANNOUNCEMENT 🏹 Morning all, can we ask th 🏹 ANNOUNCEMENT 🏹 Morning all, can we ask that once you have finished shooting at the field, that you please ensure you have tied your boss to one of the posts provided on the tree line rather than just pegging it into the ground with the red pegs from the boss. Additional posts have been added in front of trees, so please double check you have secured the boss you were using before leaving. This is to prevent the bosses from rolling/being blown back into the ditch and resulting in damage. Best, Woking Archery Club 🎯
🏅SCAYT🏅 Congratulations to our own Jozsef S 🏅SCAYT🏅 Congratulations to our own Jozsef Sutyor Jnr for shooting in the SCAS Junior Championship which was also the final stage of SCAYT. Jozsef did amazing in his U14 category and came second in the SCAS Champs which meant that he also finished second in the SCAYT!! Well done Jozsef! 🏹 WAC Open 2023 🏹 The 17th September 2023 s 🏹 WAC Open 2023 🏹 The 17th September 2023 saw the Woking Archery Club Open. This competition consisted of archers shooting a range of rounds. These included Bristol, Hereford or York rounds. The shoot was a success, even with the rain! We would like to say a huge congratulations to our winning archers, but also to all archers who partook. A huge well done to everyone who participated in the shoot, and a huge round of applause for our winning archers. 🏹 WAC Memorial Shoot 🏹 This morning we held 🏹 WAC Memorial Shoot 🏹 This morning we held our annual Memorial shoot which involves archers shooting various Western rounds from 80 yards through to 20 yards! A huge well done to everyone to participated in the shoot, and a huge round of applause for our winning archers.
